CT Heating Oil Prices Rise in October

CONNECTICUT - Home heating oil prices are edging close to $3.00 per gallon as temperatures drop and oil heat customers fire up their heating systems.

Wholesale and retail prices for #2 Heating Oil averages prices have risen by an average of $0.05 per gallon per week since the end of September, bringing the statewide average retail price to $2.92, (according to data from the State of CT Office of Policy and Management / Heating Oil Monitoring Program).

With most predicting a milder than normal winter in the Northeast, prices are expected to remain relatively stable throughout the heating season.
