Find Connecticut Heating Fuel Oil Dealers by City or Town:

$500 Furnace Replacement Rebate

Available to State of Connecticut Residents

Residents of Connecticut who install a new furnace may be eligible for a rebate of up to $500.00, (five hundred dollars), under a program administered by The State of Connecticut's Office of Policy and Management.

If you are considering installing a new furnace, you should visit the State website and review the guidelines and download a copy of the rebate application and other forms at: https://www.ct.gov/opm/furnacerebate

If you have recently purchased and installed a replacement oil burner or furnace, you may already qualify and be able to recoup some of the expense as the rebate offer is retroactive and covers furnace installations from July 1, 2007.

One of the requirements for the rebate is that the replacement oil burner, (or furnace or boiler), you purchase must by Energy Star with at leas an 84% AFUE, (Annual Fuel Efficiency Rating). The AFUE of a furnace, oil burner or other heating equipment is a rating of how many BTU's of heat the unit produces compared to the maximum number of BTU's burning home heating fuel oil can produce. The higher the AFUE rating, the less it will cost for fuel to produce the same amount of heat.
